Ben Blom has done and shipped a bunch of 3333 UPM fonts for OT-CFF. I do not know of anyone who has done higher than 4096 in either format.2 -

Fwiw, I just confirmed that ALMOST all the Aptos family has no glyph-level manual hinting. The Narrow styles however are the new default in Excel, and Excel still uses old-school GDI rendering (!) so…7
